Honoring Ritual & Spirituality

Event Date: Saturday May 9, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM MDT

Please join us as we continue the work of grieving together as a community. In this gathering, we will engage in a deeper conversation about the role of ritual and spirituality in moving through grief and provide a safe space to share personal insights and highlights from the grief ritual retreat with renowned spiritual leader, Sobonfu Some.

GSN provider, Debrae Firehawk, joins the Grief Support Network as we continue to attend to the body and mind this spring and learn new ways to integrate communal ritual into our daily lives. She will lead us in an insightful guided meditation, ritual and invite us to integrate through journaling and sharing. This gathering offers an opportunity for us to join as a community and free ourselves through ritual as we honor the spirits of our loved ones and the many mothers of the world.

Moving Through Grief… Together Gathering

Event Date:

Please join us Saturday December 13th for our first Annual Grief Ritual~

Our community will come together for a healing Grief Ritual in the beautiful setting of the Adi Shakti Yoga Center in Boulder, CO

Saturday December 13th from 10:30a-12:30p

Presented by Robyn Hubbard & Wendy Black Stern

Collective Grief Ritual-
This sacred ceremony honors our experiences of loss and allows us to
explore and embody grief as a doorway into connection. This is a collective journey that
honors each person’s process in the most tender and nourishing way. As we become
witness to our authentic selves, as well as each other, we give ourselves permission to
rediscover connection with lost parts of our selves, to loved ones who have passed, as
well as to that which is Sacred. It is through this connection that we open the door to the
threshold that ultimately moves us from grief to gratitude.
This journey offers a map for embodying grief through guided mediation and expressive
movement to integrate our experience in ways that are meaningful to each of us. We
will be guided by the four pathways of:
• Accessing our resources of joy
• Tending to our grief
• Discovering our creative energies
• Honoring our seeds of transformation

No dance experience is necessary, only a willingness to move, and be curious.

……….

If you think about it, grief is part of each of our lives in one way or another. Any kind of loss, big or small, and in any area of life, offers the opportunity for growth and transformation. In our culture, grief is a word that most of us run or hide from, but our Grief Support Network community is changing that paradigm by helping us navigate grief as an opportunity for transformation and for deepening our relationship to the world. Imagine bringing into the light the grief that you’ve hidden away or are avoiding, or working with the grief that is right there staring you in the face, and discovering the richness that this brings to your wholeness when addressed in a transformational way. Imagine ultimately feeling closer to something larger that connects us all as a result…

Please dare to go deep with us. In the world of spirituality, it is too easy to just focus on trying to feel good. But the richness, the wholeness, the hidden treasure really, lies in embracing ALL parts of our experience. I encourage you to join us Saturday December 13th to claim more of that richness in yourself, and to help transform the experience of grief in our world to one that we embrace rather than run from.
