A trail walking group for caregivers or anyone who is grieving a loss.

There is something deeply soothing in the simple, repetitive act of walking. Sharing with others while walking is a healthy, active way to receive and give support. This group is designed to be a safe place to get some gentle exercise and have a quiet time with supportive companions.

When: Monday mornings, 8:30-10:30am

Location:  McIntosh Lake, Dawson Park, 1757 Harvard St, Longmont

Throughout the summer we might explore other locations in Longmont/ Boulder area as determined by the group

Where to Meet:

We will meet at the picnic tables next to the restrooms in between the tennis courts and the playground on the east end of the lake.

Parking:  You can park in the parking lot off of Harvard St (next to the transformer) or there is parking along Harvard St. and Lakeshore Dr.

Walk Description: McIntosh Lake is a 3.5-mile loop trail that features beautiful wild flowers and a view of the mountains and is good for all skill levels.  Most of the trail is paved with some gravel trail in areas. We will stop along the way for some short breaks to drink in the peace and beauty of our surroundings.  The trail has little shade so be sure to dress appropriately.

Please Bring:

Hat, Sunglasses, Sunscreen/bug spray, Water bottle, Good Hiking/Walking Shoes, Snacks

For those who have experienced the death of a family member, friend or someone significant.

Join us as we support each other and discuss some of the ways the loss of someone significant can affect our lives. The purpose of this group is to provide information about the grief process; to share experiences; and to alleviate the feelings of isolation.
